AI coding agents like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot are changing what a single student can build. In this introductory session, Vijith Daniel — Senior Software Engineer & Tech Lead at LampLighters Tech Pvt Ltd, with an MTech in AI & Machine Learning from BITS Pilani — will show you how to use these tools to generate working code, become an effective programmer faster, and start solving real, local problems around you. Vijith was recently a panelist on inclusive AI at IIT Patna (IC@10, February 2026).

This first session is a one-hour introduction. It will be followed by a couple of further sessions to help you actually get started and build something of your own.

Who can apply:

• Students currently studying, or who have studied, Mathematics at the degree level, OR students of BCA, MCA, or B.Tech

• You'll need access to a computer or laptop and an internet connection
